The Teepee Creek Stampede is busting out of the gate this summer, July 8 to 11, making its return after the 2020 event was cancelled. It will be the 104th version of the Northern Alberta staple.
The "Four Days in the Wild" will start with the Wagon Master community event on Thursday, July 8, followed by the junior rodeo, barrel racing jackpot, and team roping jackpot on Friday, July 9.
The real action takes place Saturday and Sunday with the pro rodeo and chuckwagon races.
"This year ‘Four Days in the Wild’ is going to look a little different than in the past but we promise it will be a hell of a good time! We are working hard to ensure we can put on a fun, professional event for sponsors, volunteers & community members," said the organizing committee in communication to supporters.
There will be no beer gardens or suppers, and only sponsors and volunteers will be able to attend. However, there will be a live-stream of the rodeo for those wanting to watch.
