The 2020 Professional Bull Riders Canada Monster Energy Tour Finals will now be held at Revolution Place in Grande Prairie, Nov. 5 to 7. The finals were set to take place a week later in Saskatoon, but were moved to a week earlier due to provincial restrictions around the COVID-19 pandemic.
Fort St. John's Jake Gardner is currently 11th in tour standings, and is coming off a second-place finish at the PBR event in Ponoka last month.
The event will consist of three seperate PBR competitions, with the top 15 riders in the standings following the third event, on Nov. 7, advancing to the PBR Built Ford Tough Championship.
The championship will also take place on Nov. 7, and will be aired on TSN.
PBR organizers said in a release Thursday that Alberta Health Services has approved the event. Organizers say new health and safety measures will be instituted, including:

Riders and bullfighters will be permitted to remove the mask only when it inhibits their ability to do their job safely. These individuals will also be subject to daily CDC-informed COVID-19 screening and temperature checks.
Fans will be asked to wear masks upon entry and exit, and when leaving their seats. Complimentary face coverings will be provided upon request. Fans will be subject to temperature screening prior to entering the venue.
POD seating, which increases distancing and minimizes fan crossover when entering and exiting their seats.Mobile ticketing options and waiving of online ticket purchase fees. For those fans who are unable to use digital tickets, all box office staff will wear gloves and sanitize their work stations frequently. Social-distancing decals will also be placed on the floor outside of the box office windows.
Increased sanitization of high-contact areas, and placement of hand sanitizer stations throughout the venue to promote hand hygiene. Increased options for cashless, contactless concessions and merchandise sales.
