Canada starts Paralympics 0-2 in wheelchair basketball

It's been a start to forget for Canada's Mens Wheelchair Basketball Team at the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics. After dropping the opener 78-41 to Spain, Canada played much better but lost in overtime last night, 77-73, in overtime.

It's been a start to forget for Canada's Mens Wheelchair Basketball Team at the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics. After dropping the opener 78-41 to Spain, Canada played much better but lost in overtime last night, 77-73, in overtime. 

Fort St. John's Bo Hedges had a better game against Turkey as well, playing 35 minutes instead of just 16 against Spain. Hedges had 4 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists against Turkey and was -7 on the night. 

The men have three games remaining in the preliminary round, starting tomorrow night, August 27, at 10:45 p.m. MST against Japan. 

The Canadian women have fared much better, beating Great Britain 73-54 to start the tournament, and winning 61-35 against host team Japan last night.
