Fort St. John Senior Flyers to take one-year leave of absence from NPHL

There will be one less hockey team to watch at the North Peace Arena this winter. The Fort St. John Senior Flyers announced Monday they have requested a one-year leave of absence from the NPHL due to a lack of player availability.

The Fort St. John Flyers announced on Monday that they will take a one-year leave of absence from the NPHL. Last season was the club's 60th as an organization.

There will be one less hockey team to watch at the North Peace Arena this winter.

The Fort St. John Senior Flyers announced Monday they have requested a one-year leave of absence from the NPHL due to a lack of player availability. 

The Flyers expressed regret with the decision in a press release, saying it was not one taken lightly.

"On behalf of the FSJ Senior Flyers Hockey Club, I offer my sincere apologies to all of our faithful fans, sponsors, volunteers and alumni who have stood by this storied team for over six decades," said Flyers President Paul van Nostrand.
