The Fort St. John Huskies are on the cusp of punching a ticket to the North West Junior Hockey League finals.

Wednesday night’s game three semi-final against the Dawson Creek Kodiaks wasn’t even close, the Huskies devouring their visitors 7-0 in front of 603 fans.

The club now leads the series 3-0 with a deciding game four Friday night in Dawson Creek.

Five Huskies put goals up on the board Wednesday; Cayden Frenette and Sam Loewen each with two, and Raymond Dick, Brandon Mode, and Jackson MacDonald all chipping one in for the win.

The Huskies led three-nothing after 20 minutes; five-nothing after the end of the second, and Modde and MacDonald scored in the third to keep the game completely out of reach of the Kodiaks.

The Huskies out shot their opponents 37-21, with Jackson Powers earning the shutout.

Game four starts at 8 p.m. at the Memorial Arena in Dawson Creek.

The Grande Prairie Wheat Kings meanwhile lead their semi-final series against the Sexsmith Vipers three games to none, with game four scheduled Thursday night in Sexsmith.
