Huskies, Canucks back on the ice this weekend

The Fort St. John Huskies and Dawson Creek Junior Canucks will be back on the ice this weekend. The teams will play on Friday, Oct. 30, at the Memorial Arena in Dawson Creek, and Saturday, Oct. 31, at the Pomeroy Sport Centre in Fort St. John.

The Fort St. John Huskies and Dawson Creek Junior Canucks will face off for their second and third exhibition games of the 2020-21 season, on October 30 and 31. Both games will be in Fort St. John at the Pomeroy Sport Centre.

The Fort St. John Huskies and Dawson Creek Junior Canucks will be back on the ice this weekend.

The teams will play on Friday, Oct. 30, at the Memorial Arena in Dawson Creek, and Saturday, Oct. 31, at the Pomeroy Sport Centre in Fort St. John. Both games start at 8 p.m.

These will be the second and third of an expected four exhibition games between the two teams. The Huskies and Canucks played an exhibition game on October 16, with the Huskies winning the game easily 10-0. 

The NWJHL's Alberta teams are officially starting regular season play on Nov. 13, with games being played in two-team cohorts. Both the Huskies and Canucks are still prohibted from cross-border competition for the forseeable future.

Fans still aren't allowed at the games. The Canucks will be streaming the game online on Friday, with the Huskies streaming the Saturday game.
