The Fort St. John Huskies have improved to 1-and-1 at the Alberta Junior B provincials, after a 4-3 win Friday morning over Beaumont.

Forward Justin Brownlee was credited with scoring the game winner in the third period, breaking a 3-3 tie.

The Huskies actually led 3-0 at one point, but gave up the lead, leading just 3-2 after forty minutes.

"There's some things that the boys are quite adjusting to defensively," said Alexander. "Same things that were getting us (yesterday were happening) today for some reason," said head coach Todd Alexander.

Alexander does feel the team made some strides in their play Friday, and will be ready for their final round-robin game Saturday against St. Paul.

The Huskies will close out round-robin play Saturday with a game against the Canadiens.

Puck drop is 11:30 am, BC Peace time.

Depending on the result, they could advance to one of two semi-finals slated for tomorrow night.
