Ina Forrest is heading back to the World Wheelchair Curling Championships in October for the third straight year.

Accompanying her will be the same group of teammates she finished fifth with at the 2020 championships in Switzerland last February: Mark Ideson, Dennis Thiessen, Collinda Joseph, and Jon Thurston.

This year's competition goes October 23 to 30 in Beijing. Forrest, a three-time world champion and formerly of Fort St. John, last won World gold in 2013, and won bronze at the 2018 Paralympics as well.

The 2021 World Championships are the final Paralympic qualifying event before the 2022 games. The top 11 teams with the most points earn the right to attend the Paralympics. Canada sits sixth in the standings.
