Legault wins Oilmen's golf tournament

It was a full three days of golf for the 304 oilmen at the 48th annual Petroleum Association Golf Tournament. Lou Legault beat out Travis Eggers in the championship flight at Lakepoint Golf and Country Club on Saturday.

Legault won against John Ross to make it into the finals with Eggers taking the win over Kevin McNee.

Gord Simm won the ninth flight over Tyler Lever and said it was a great competition.

"It's always good, a good bunch of guys, we have fun. For me it's not the winning, it's the 'go out there and have a good time.' If you win, it's a bonus," he said.

Lex Neufeld won the sixth flight over Greg Toews. He has been playing for seven years and said he had a good time though for him it's about making connections.

"It's good for the young guysyou're not just a young face, now you're in the club so, it's easier to do with the higher ups."

Blayne Streeper won the championship flight consolation over Justin McKinon.

John Giesbrecht won the first flight, after a playoff against Tom West. Gener Danyluk was the flight's consolation winner over Kent Backman.

Darren Laflar won the second flight over Richard Redfern. Clark Lang won the consolation side over Tom Fisher.

Gary Ford beat Grey Hyndman to win the third flight. Don Gauvin won the consolation side over Dean McAvoy.

Gord Crow won the fourth flight, beating Paul Leblanc. Jeff Toews won the consolation side over Ian Titley.

Keith Rost was the winner of the fifth flight over Dean May. Don Walling beat Jason Atkings for the consolation win.

Abe Garcia beat Joe Ollenberger for the consolation win in flight six.

Todd Alexander beat Don Hartman in the seventh flight with Barry Shallow winning over Reg Marquart on the consolation side.

Glen Hiebert beat Al Young in flight eight with Ken Pitman beating Brian Gentles on the consolation side.

Don Hoffmeyer won the consolation side of flight nine over Steve Bennet.

James Vandergaaf won over Russ London in the 10th flight and Howie Maxwell beat Ken Griffin in the consolation round.

In the 11th flight, Ken Kadutski won over Wes Stewart. Len Fallis won the consolation over Terry Robak.

Mitch Bacon won the 12th flight over Aaron Kielo and Jack Crispin won the consolation side over Bob Gardner.

Richard Ramstead won the 13th flight over Lloyd Smith. Dorran Smith won the consolation over Terry Seguin.

Randy Fenton beat Lance MacDonald to win the 14th flight. Chris Jungen beat Jeff Robertson on the consolation side.

Lyle Wood won the 15th flight over Rob Petrone. Cory Hoffmeyer beat Larry Solodon in the consolation side.

Monty Neudorf won the 16th flight over Elmer Westergard while Dean Horn won the consolation over Bergie Vanvolingburgh.

Gord Anderson beat Don McLeod in the 17th flight with Brian Palmer winning the consolation against George Soule.

Allan Spence won the 18th flight over Richard Stellmaker. Art Jarvis won the consolation side of the flight over Steve Zimmerman.
