North Peace 4-H District Report

Once again, the North Peace District 4-H Achievement Days and auction looked a little different than it has in the past.

Once again, the North Peace District 4-H Achievement Days and auction looked a little different than it has in the past. Due to health regulations, we were unable to host our regular achievement days so each club had a mini-achievement day with their beef members. The top two from each club were than judged by Mike Ross at the VJV Auction Mart just before the auction on July 12.

Congratulations to Grace Trask of the Wonowon Club with her Grand Champion Steer and Meggan Bueckert of the Green Valley Club with her Reserve Champion Steer.

The sheep and swine members of the North Peace District 4-H are small enough in number that they were able to all get together and have an achievement day.

Congratulations to Anika Carroll of the Lakeshore Club with her Grand Champion Swine and Lenard Pugh of the Lakeshore Club for his Reserve Champion Swine.

Congratulations to Emily Weibe of the Prespatou Club for her Grand Champion Sheep and Walker Masse of the Silver Willow Club for his Reserve Champion Swine.

Since the lifting of regulations on July 1, the North Peace Fall Fair will be held this year on Aug 20-22. The Poultry, Honeybee, Gardening, and Photography projects will be holding their achievement on those dates. Come see us in the 4-H Building at the Fair Grounds.

The auction on July 12 was a success. Thank you to VJV Auctions for their work in allowing us to still be able to do this part for the members.

There are too many sponsors, volunteers, and buyers to thank so please find us on Facebook to stay updated on everything about the North Peace District 4-H.
