SCOREBOARD: Huskies 8, Vipers 2

The Fort St. John Huskies beat the Sexsmith Vipers 8-2 at home on Saturday, their second home blowout in a row.

The Fort St. John Huskies won big at home for the second straight night on Saturday, October 23, beating the Sexsmith Vipers 8-2. The Huskies are now 10-0 to start the season, and are nine points ahead of the Vipers, the second-best team, in the NWJHL standings. 

The Huskies broke out to a 3-0 lead in the first period. The Vipers tried to make a game out of it, making the score 3-2 early in the second, but the Huskies scored twice more in the following five minutes and controlled the game the rest of the way. 

Nick Loewen and Alex Nimmo had two goals each, while the latter and Raymond Dick each had three points in the game. 

The Huskies will be back at home Thursday, October 28, to face the Dawson Creek Kodiaks for the third time this season.
