Weekend hockey at the Pomeroy

U-18s try to make it two-in-a-row; U-11s play first two at home

Taryn Hoskyn earned the hat-trick while Ryder Hunt turned aside 23 of 25 shots as the NEBC midget Trackers dropped the GPAC Storm from Grande Prairie 8-2 Friday night at the Pomeroy Sport Centre.

Other markers in the game came from Tristan Simpson, Xavier Burgher, Parker Fenton, Bane Hildebrand, and Carver Lequiere.

The Trackers improve to 5 wins, 1 loss, and 3 ties, good for second place, and four points back of Whitecourt in the Milltech division.

They host the Peace River Royals Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m., also at the Pomeroy Sport Centre.

The bantam Trackers play their lone game on the road this weekend, Sunday, against Higson Dental from Grande Prairie.

Puck drop there is 3 p.m.

The U-13 peewee Flyers are idle this weekend.

The U-11s play twice Saturday – playing host to Whitecourt at 11 a.m. and welcoming Peace River at 4:15.

Both match-ups are set for PSC.
