Wyatt Turney wins bronze medal at Special Olympics Canada Bowling Championships

Wyatt Turney of Fort St. John made the trip to Prince Edward Island for the 2018 Special Olympics Canada Bowling Championships, May 15 to 19. Turney competed in two events, winning bronze in the 5-pin team event with the Quesnel Alley Cats, and finishing sixth in the individual event.

Team B.C. won 31 medals combined in both 5-pin and 10-pin bowling. 

"Team B.C. bowlers trained hard for the bowling championships and it was inspiring to see their hard work pay off," said Team B.C. 2018 Chef de Mission, Leslie Thornley.

The bowling competitions were held in Charlottetown, Summerside  and Tyne Valley.
