The Fort St. John Paladin Black Sox beat the Cecil Lake Norwest Thunder 7-0 in Wheatbelt Baseball League action Wednesday night. The newly formed Thunder were able to hold the Black Sox at bay in the first inning, with neither team scoring.

Bob Andrews was the fastest rider of the night at the Aurora Engineering Personal best time trial Thursday. Andrews won a very windy 16-kilometre Baldonnel event with a time of 25 minutes 56 seconds.

ATVs are a great summer activity in the Peace Region, but safety should still be a concern, say organizers of ATV Family Safety Day. "It can be a lot of fun but it could potentially be very dangerous," said Martin Weideman of Alpha Safety.
