Soccer registration into final days

South Peace Junior Soccer registration is on and it appears as if about the same number of kids will be playing the "beautiful game" this spring as did last year.

The Mile Zero Figure Skating Club had two of its members at the 2010 Special Olympic regional qualifier in Kamloops last month and both have a shot at moving on to the next step towards the world competition in 2013.

Northern Strikers begin season's medal haul

Seven local competitive soccer teams competed at the 2011 Power Play Cup over the weekend and four returned with medals. The U12 boys and U16 mixed Northern Strikers won gold in their respective divisions.
