We are hearing from the community, "How can I help our hardworking nurses and medical staff at the Fort St. John Hospital?"

Here is what the Manager of Patient Care Services and nurses shared:

1. The FSJ Hospital is graciously accepting food deliveries. Please make sure food or food trays are prepackaged (nothing homemade please). Food can be dropped off at the main front entrance door with the FSJ Hospital greeter between 8.30am - 4.30pm. Management will make sure staff in each unit gets to enjoy food donated.

2. New or Used Scrubs that you don't need anymore! There is now a need for scrubs for staff during their time in the hospital as scrubs are laundered daily by the hospital. Staff have to ensure that they change into hospital scrubs at work to reduce the risk of taking covid-19 home to their families.

3. or easy washable, fabric drawstring bags to put their clothes in before/and after their shifts. Suggested approx size 16 wide x 18 deep inches. (too large maybe not practicle) If you dont have a draw string sew one from a long piece of fabric. Draw strings should not come off when being laundered.

The Hospital asked to please drop food, scrubs or cloth bags off to the Hospital Greeter at the main door entrance and the management team will distribute them where they are needed. They want the community to know how much they appreciate all the kindness community members and businesses have shown in supporting the staff at the Hospital.

Thank you to this great community and appreciation to all to our hardworking FSJ Hospital staff and care workers. If you have any questions reach out to us at the FSJ Hospital Foundation on 250.793.0998.
