Letters: Our community is in wonderful hands

Citizen of the Year recipient offers congratulations to all

Re: 'Meet Fort St. John's 2021 community award winners', Alaska Highway News, April 29

On behalf of SONS - Save Our Northern Seniors I would like to say thank you to everyone making this evening such as special event. As a member of The FSJ COVID Task Force, I cannot believe the talent, dedication, and support that makes a real difference in our community. The evening was totally awesome. Knowing how hard everyone behind the scenes worked to create this event, I would like to say thank you.

At our photo shoot, it was very impressive to see the members of the Task Force in person and know that our community is and will remain in good hands. The passion for making a difference was on the face of every person in that room. Standing with the group, I was very honoured to represent SONS.

Representing SONS, I was proud to be part of the group receiving the Mayor’s Citizen of Year – Ambassador Award.

To all those who were nominated, you are all winners!! Congratulations to all.

Our community is in wonderful hands. What an evening! Thank you to all for making the evening so successful.
