MLA Report: A well-deserved congratulations to our 2022 graduates

Each of you has something special to offer our great province. Our communities run smoothly when they get contributions from individuals from all walks of life, with different experiences and interests.
NPSS-Grad-2022-29
North Peace Secondary convocation ceremonies, June 17, 2022.

I would like to extend a huge congratulations to all the 2022 graduating classes in the Peace River North riding. To those finishing both high school and college, your journey has been a long one, and it is time to celebrate.

Having spent time as both a student and a teacher, I can greatly appreciate the hard work and effort you put in to have the opportunity to attend your ceremony and walk across the stage.

This is a time for you to shape your path forward after your educational journey — a journey we can all recognize has taken notable resolve. Think of all you have accomplished and simply remember that determination is all you need to reach your future goals.

Your adventures over the years have been full of extraordinary circumstances, with many barriers and challenges for you to overcome. However, with the perseverance and work ethic instilled in you during your time at your respective educational institutions, you’ve made it.

Your friends, families and educators all see the time you have put in to your learning and into building lifelong friendships and relationships. These are building blocks for your future and will prepare you for the next chapter.

For some of you, your journeys will involve furthering your studies, and others might be jumping right into the workforce. It could even be that you have decided to take some time off to explore the next steps you want to take. Whatever you decide, they are all good choices and the foundation you have built at school will help you in your next endeavour.

I recommend you take a moment to recognize those who have watched you grow and overcome many challenges with your willingness to succeed. It is important to acknowledge that this would not be possible without the supportive people in your lives, so we extend a big ‘thank-you’ for their contributions to your growth.

Each of you has something special to offer our great province. Our communities run smoothly when they get contributions from individuals from all walks of life, with different experiences and interests. You are all incredibly integral to the future success of B.C.

Everyone in our community is extremely proud of you, and we all look forward to seeing your development into vital leaders here in the Peace Region and beyond.
