As I am writing this, I am sipping my piping hot cold and flu beverage, the overpowering scent of Vicks Vapor Rub lingering in the air.

I have spent a lifetime reading both of Canada's official languages on milk cartons, cereal boxes and instruction manuals. In high school I took and passed the mandatory Grade 8 French class.

This week, we gathered at Cenotaphs across the country where we commemorated our veterans and prayed for our troops abroad. We are grateful for our civil liberties and the peace we enjoy.

G-20: Steven Harper and other world leaders met at the G-20 Summit in South Korea. There's a report the atmosphere at the gathering was not cordial. Apparently the "G" in "G-20" stands for "Grumpy".
