Much has been written about the different Forts on the Peace River. The book "Prophecy of the Swan, The Upper Peace River Fur Trade of 1794 - 1823" is one and another is "River of Controversy " by Lloyd Cushway.

So yet again I'm writing about how I'm dreading school. The holiday was not long enough at all! Definitely not compared to last year where I got a two week extra long vacation in Mexico. That was what a vacation is supposed to feel like.

I don't know who first coined the expression "live in the moment" but I do know that I always found the phrase irritating. I mean, where else is a person going to live? Short of time travel, there wasn't much choice. Turns out I was wrong.

My ride on the Fort St. John heel-toe express has been lengthy, rarely uphill (or downhill for that matter) and more often than not chilly.

I would like to address a safety concern to all the people that drive the Peterson road. Be aware that very few people stop at the stop sign at the cross road on Peterson Road.

So here I sit in the dark (again) along with everyone else that lives north of the tracks and lives or works east of 8th Street while the other half of the town has power. Hmmmm....

When I read that the energy ministers from our three western provinces met for a conference, I thought, "Great it's about time. Now they will bring some common sense to resource extraction.

Sam and Martha are 55 years old. They have two children in their late twenties. The only money that they have ever borrowed is to invest in real estate. They are frugal and fairly risk averse. Sam is a management consultant.

While thinking about resolutions to increase good health, I wondered if a few brain exercises might be a good way to ensure brain health.
