Central Mountain Air suspends flights

Central Mountain Air says all scheduled flights will be suspended effective April 11.

The suspension will last through June 7, with scheduled service to resume June 8, the airline says. Charter flights remain available.

"As we continue to address the unprecedented challenges the current COVID-19 health crisis presents, Central Mountain Air (CMA) is taking dramatic measures to protect our business, employees, customers and the larger communities we serve," the company said in an update posted to its website.

Air Canada has suspended its operations in Fort St. John until May 1. WestJet is still operating between Calgary and Vancouver.

Additionally, CMA has listed to two affected flights where COVID-19 cases have been identified:

  • March 12th – 9M728 – Prince George to Kelowna

  • March 15th – 9M725 – Kelowna to Prince George

Passengers on those flights should self-isolate and monitor for symptoms.
