Charlie Lake school warned of COVID exposure

Northern Health is warning of possible COVID-19 exposures at Charlie Lake Elementary School on Nov. 23 and 24.

Northern Health is warning of possible COVID-19 exposures at Charlie Lake Elementary School on Nov. 23 and 24.

The health authority says staff and students may have been in contact with a lab-confirmed case, and that they should monitor for symptoms until Dec. 8.

Dawson Creek Secondary School has also been warned today of exposures at the South Peace Peace campus on Nov. 16 to 18.

Northern Health has warned of several school-based exposures over the last week, including at Bert Bowes Middle School and North Peace Secondary, as well as the YMCA at Ma Murray School, and at Chetwynd Secondary School.

On Monday, it declared an outbreak at North Peace Seniors Housing, where nine cases and one death have so far been reported.
