Fort St. John RCMP are looking for the public's help to confirm the wellbeing of three people last seen entering a trail in the Charlie Lake area.

A woman with red hair and two children were seen on a red quad entering a trailhead off the 277 Road on Friday, July 26, between 9 and 9:30 p.m., RCMP said in a news release.

A concerned citizen who called police did not see all persons leave and were concerned for their safety given the terrain and time of day, police said.

The children are between 10 to 12 years of age, and the woman may be their mother, police said. They were seen entering the trail with three heeler-type dogs.

RCMP are looking for the rider or passengers to call police to confirm their wellbeing.

Anyone with information is asked to call the detachment at 250-787-8100 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
