Three years of Charlie Lake water testing could be ready in 2019

The Charlie Lake Conservation Society held its final sampling event of the year last weekend.

David Smith, Amber Blair, and Bruce Kosugi went out on the lake to take water samples, monitoring for water clarity, chlorophyll, dissolved oxygen, temperature, and nutrients.

It's part of the society's ongoing efforts to monitor and study the lake.

"We hope to get results from past three years of monitoring in 2019," Kosugi said.

The society holds regular events to raise public awareness about Charlie Lake issues, and to increase public involvement in conservation activities.

The society conducts ongoing research about the lake, and even takes part in an ongoing bat conservation project.
