Community foundation accepting applications for emergency COVID funds

The Northeast B.C. Community Foundation began accepting applications for round two of the Emergency Community Support Fund on October 1, 2020. The foundation will be providing $50,000 in total to local charities affected by COVID-19. 

The Northeast B.C. Community Foundation handed out $75,000 total to eight charities as part of the first round of funding in June. Among those charities that received funding were the Dawson Creek Choral Society, the Northern Lights College Foundation, and the North Peace Pregnancy Support Centre.

Charities can apply until Oct 30. The funds can be used to pay for staff, resources, and assistance, among other uses.
