Sentences and fines from Fort St. John and Dawson Creek provincial courts Nov. 16 to 20, 2020:

Fort St. John

• Dustin Robert Bodenchuk (born 1993) was given a suspended sentence with one year probation, and issued a 10-year firearms ban for trafficking in controlled substance, and was sentenced to the same for possession of a controlled substance, both committed in Fort St. John in June 2016.

• Shawn Michael David Wells (born 1975) was granted a conditional discharge with 15 months probation for uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, committed in Fort St. John in November 2019; given 15 months probation for disobeying a court order, committed in Fort St. John in June 2018; and issued a one-year $500 recognizance after allegation of causing fear of injury or damage, committed in Fort St. John in June 2020.

• Steven Richard Alcock (born 1994) was granted a conditional discharge with 12 months probation for uttering threats, committed in Fort St. John in August 2019.

• Whitney Joan Cardinal (born 1987) was given a suspended sentence with one year probation for assault with a weapon, committed in Fort St. John in July 2020; given a suspended sentence with one year probation for breaching a release order, committed in Fort St. John in July 2020; given a suspended sentence with one year probation for theft under $5,000, committed in Fort St. John in June 2020; and given a suspended sentence with one year probation for theft under $5,000, committed in Fort St. John in February 2020.

• Dalton Mitchell Brown (born 1992) was fined $1,500 and given one year probation for possession of stolen property over $5,000, committed in Fort St. John in April 2018.

• Ramon Sicad De Leon (born 1976) was issued another one-year $500 recognizance after allegation of causing fear of injury or damage, committed in Fort St. John in September 2020, and was issued a one-year $500 recognizance after allegation of causing fear of injury or damage, committed in Fort St. John in November 2019.

• Jagdeep Singh Tiwana (born 1993) was issued a one-year $500 recognizance after allegation of causing fear of injury or damage, committed in Fort St. John in May 2019.

• Leon Sperling (born 1950) was issued a one-year $500 recognizance after allegation of causing fear of injury or damage, committed in Fort St. John in July 2019.

• Martin Lewis Fieber (born 1954) was fined $2,000, issued a one-year criminal driving ban, and ordered to pay a $600 victim surcharge for impaired driving, committed in Fort St. John in April 2020.

• Michael Jacob Waldner (born 1987) was fined $1,500, issued a one-year criminal driving ban, and ordered to pay a $450 victim surcharge for impaired driving, committed in Baldonnel in November 2019.

• Matthew Oliver St. George (born 1985) was fined $500, issued a five-year firearms prohibition, and ordered to pay a $75 victim surcharge for careless use or storage of a firearm, committed in Fort St. John in October 2019.

• Michael John Fraser (born 1966) was given an 18-month conditional sentence and issued a 10-year firearms prohibition for possessing a firearm without a licence or registration, committed in Taylor in September 2020.

• Jeyte Osman Jeyte (born 1985) was fined $500, given a six-month driving prohibition, and ordered to pay a $75 victim surcharge for driving without due care and attention, committed in Fort St. John in January 2020.

• Heather Bernadette Johnny (born 1969) was fined $500, given one year probation, and ordered to pay a $75 victim surcharge for driving without due care and attention, committed in Taylor in February 2018.

• Jennifer Lee Zammit (born 1977) was fined $1,000, issued a one-year driving prohibition, and ordered to pay a $150 victim surcharge for driving while prohibited, committed in Pouce Coupe in September 2016, and was fined $500, issued a one-year driving prohibition, and ordered to pay a $75 victim surcharge for driving while prohibited, committed in Dawson Creek in February 2018.

• Jason Wayne Wasilenchuk (born 1973) was fined $1,000, issued a one-year driving prohibition, and ordered to pay a $100 victim surcharge for driving while prohibited, committed in Attachie in June 2020.

• James Philip Henry Haggard (born 1994) was fined $500, issued a one-year driving prohibition, and ordered to pay a $75 victim surcharge for driving while prohibited, committed in Fort St. John in May 2019.

• Christopher Michael Lawrence Shears (born 1978) was fined $500, issued a one-year driving prohibition, and ordered to pay a $75 victim surcharge for driving with a suspended licence, committed in Fort St. John in June 2019.

• Jesse Lea Mcleod (born 1988) was fined $500, issued a one-year driving prohibition, and ordered to pay a $75 victim surcharge for driving with a suspended licence, committed in Fort St. John in July 2019.

• Kristopher Ryan Carter (born 1985) was fined $50 and given a one-year criminal driving ban for operating a motor vehicle while disqualified, committed in Fort St. John in June 2018. 

• Chauncey Narcisse Glen Brooks (born 1994) was fined $150 for breach of recognizance, committed in Fort Nelson in November 2019.

Dawson Creek

• Gabriel El Namer (born 1997) was sentenced to 90 days jail, given two years probation, and issued a two-year criminal driving ban for dangerous driving causing death, and three counts of dangerous driving causing bodily harm, committed in Dawson Creek in September 2016.

• Morgan Arness Jean (born 1983) was issued a six-month $500 recognizance after allegation of causing fear of injury or damage to property, committed in Dawson Creek in April 2020.

• Tara-Lee Ann Wells (born 1981) was issued a six-month $500 recognizance after allegation of causing fear of injury or damage to property, committed in Moberly Lake in September 2019.

• James Robert Page (born 1998) was issued a one-year $500 recognizance after allegation of causing fear of injury or damage to property, committed in Dawson Creek in July 2018.

• Dustin Thomas Roode (born 1996) was fined $500 and ordered to pay a $75 victim surcharge for driving while prohibited, committed in Dawson Creek in November 2019.
