Sentences and fines from Fort St. John and Dawson Creek provincial courts Nov. 23 to 27, 2020:

Fort St. John

• Joseph Alfred Lloyd (born 1989) was given a suspended sentence with 12 months probation, and ordered to submit a DNA sample for uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, committed in Fort St. John in August 2020, and given a suspended sentence with 12 months probation for breaching a release order, also committed in Fort St. John in August 2020.

• Paige Evelyn Adams (born 1993) was fined $100 for theft under $5,000 and breaching probation, committed in Hudson’s Hope in August 2020.

• Byron Eric Horne (born 1986) was issued a suspended sentence with six months probation and assessed a $100 victim surcharge for possessing a firearm contrary to court order, committed in Fort St John in December 2019.

• Jordan Jerome Leblanc (born 1998) was fined $800, issued a one-year driving ban, and ordered to pay a $120 victim surcharge for driving while prohibited, committed in Fort St John in January 2019.

• Wesley Lawrence Belcourt (born 1986) was fined $500, issued a six-month driving ban, and assessed a $75 victim surcharge for driving with a suspended licence, committed in Fort St John in May 2019.

• Arthur Laverne Read (born 1977) was fined $500, issued a one-year driving ban, and assessed a $75 victim surcharge for driving with a suspended licence, committed in Fort St John in May 2019.  

Dawson Creek

• Garrett Clark McNolty (born 1985) was given a 12-month conditional sentence with 12 months probation and a 10-year firearms prohibition for possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and two counts of uttering threats, committed in Dawson creek and Farmington in August 2020.

• Brant Willis Waldner (1975) was granted a conditional discharge with one year probation, and was ordered to pay a $100 victim surcharge for assault, committed in Dawson Creek in September 2019.

• Mark Roth (born 1975) was handed 18 months of probation for uttering threats, committed in Farmington in December 2018.

• James Wesley Brown (born 1973) was issued a nine-month $500 recognizance after allegation of causing fear of injury or damage to property, committed in Chetwynd in September 2019.

• Joseph Randy Chouinard (born 1983) was given a 90-day conditional sentence with one year probation for mischief under $5,000, committed in Chetwynd in February 2020, and was issued a 12-month $500 recognizance after allegation of causing fear of injury or damage, committed in Dawson Creek in July 2020.

• Tasha Rachelle Brown (born 1992) was fined $1,000 and ordered to pay a $150 victim surcharge for driving without due care or attention, committed in Tumbler Ridge in April 2019.

• Jasper Joseph Gabriel (1996) was fined $500 and assessed a $75 victim surcharge for driving while prohibited, committed in Dawson Creek in July 2020.
