Court Docket: October 10-13

A summary of what went on in Peace Region courts for the week ending Oct. 13. 

Fort St John Law Courts

• Kevin Andrew Fredrickson (born 1975) was ordered to provide DNA sample, given 418 days in jail, handed a lifetime firearms ban, and assessed a $200 victim surcharge for unlawful confinement or imprisonment. Fredrickson received a further 365 days in jail, was ordered to provide a DNA sample, handed a lifetime mandatory firearms ban, and assessed a $200 victim surcharge for assault. Fredrickson also received 548 days in jail and was assessed a $200 victim surcharge for assault with a weapon.

• James Lewis Mullaney (born 1994) was given 19 days in jail, handed two years probation, and assessed a $200 victim surcharge for one count of unlawfully being in a dwelling. Mullaney received another one-year probation order and $100 victim surcharge for possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose. Mullaney received a further 14 days in jail, and was assessed a $100 victim surcharge for breaching probation. 

• Liann Jeanetta Dewetter (born 1970) was handed a one-year probation order with a conditional discharge, and assessed a $100 victim surcharge for assault with a weapon. 

• Sheldon Greg Gauthier (born 1984) was given one year of probation with a suspended sentence, and assessed a $100 victim surcharge for breaching probation. 

Dawson Creek Law Courts

• George Hauber (born 1949) was fined $500, handed a one-year driving ban, and assessed a $75 victim surcharge for driving with a suspended licence. 

• Trent Eldon Webb (born 1988) was fined $300, handed a one-year criminal driving ban, and assessed a $90 victim surcharge for operating a motor vehicle while disqualified. Webb was also ordered to provide a DNA sample, handed a one-year probation order, and assessed a $100 victim surcharge for assault causing bodily harm. 

• Jeffrey Blake Andrew (born 1977) was handed six months probation with a conditional discharge, and assessed a $100 victim surcharge for possession of a controlled substance. 

• Bradley David Forseth (born 1989) was assessed a $100 victim surcharge for breach of undertaking. Forseth was assessed an additional $100 victim surcharge for willfully resisting or obstructing a peace officer. 

• Alan James Renouf (born 1980) was assessed a $100 victim surcharge for breaching probation.
