Fort Nelson was again the coldest spot in B.C. on Tuesday.
The airport weather station recorded a low of -36.5 degrees on Dec. 6, according to Environment Canada data.
That was nearly 10 degrees warmer than the town’s cold weather record of -45.3 set on the same day in 1977.
The thermometer has since climbed to -20.3 degrees in Fort Nelson as of 9:15 a.m. Wednesday morning.
And that's pushed Fort St. John into the coldest spot in B.C., currently at -21.2, though temperatures are forecast to reach a high -1 today.
The coldest spot in Canada Wednesday morning is Tulita in the Northwest Territories, sitting at -38.7.
