Northern Rockies RCMP seek tips in Muskwa River fire

Mounties in the Northern Rockies are looking for anyone who saw a group of young men running away from a fire set along the Muskwa River earlier this month.

The fire was started in a log pile along the Muskwa River close to the Muskwa Bridge. RCMP say it was deliberately set using "petroleum accelerants."

Police say the group, believed to be in their late teens to early twenties, was seen starting the fire before driving away in dark grey four-door car.

Anyone with information on the fire is asked to call the Northern Rockies detachment at 250-774-2777 or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
