Grande Prairie flight may have been exposed to COVID-19

Passengers on a WestJet flight to Grande Prairie may have been at risk of exposure to COVID-19.

WestJet has released a list of recent flights where passengers may have been at risk of exposure. That includes WestJet Flight 3240 from Edmonton to Grande Prairie on March 12. Passengers in rows 1 to 6 are most affected.

"Public health officials recommend that affected individuals self-isolate for 14 days after arrival and monitor symptoms," WestJet said in an operations update March 17.

"Guests are advised to contact their primary care provider, or their local public health unit if they are concerned that they may have been exposed to or are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19."

Those not in the affected rows are advised to self-monitor for signs of cough, fever or respiratory issues and to call their local health authorities if symptoms arise within the next 14 days.

WestJest says travelers in these affected flights and passenger rows are also considered close contacts and may be at risk for exposure. They are:
