On December 9, 2018, Hudson’s Hope RCMP conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle that had failed to stop for a stop sign and spun its rear wheels as it drove off. The driver was found to be operating a motor vehicle without a valid licence and was issued violation tickets for not having a driver’s licence and for failing to produce insurance. On December 15, 2018, Hudson’s Hope RCMP and local Fire and Rescue, responded to a single vehicle in the ditch on Canyon Drive. No occupants were inside the vehicle. The owner called police a short time later and reported the vehicle stolen. The driver then confessed that the truck was not stolen as initially reported. Speed and road conditions were a factor in the collision and no injuries were sustained.
