Hudson's Hope pool opens July 6

Hudson's Hope says it plans to open its outdoor pool on Monday, July 6.

The pool will be limited to 25 users at any time as part of a number of COVID-related safety precautions, the district said. Aquacise classes will be limited to eight people, while lane swimming is limited to four.

"COVID-19 safety precautions will need to be followed to ensure safety of District Employees and Visitors to the pool," Mayor Dave Heiberg said.

Those who are sick, or who have symptoms of COVID-19, are being told not to use the pool. Swimmers will need to sanitize their hands when entering the building and shower before entering the pool.

No personal pool equipment is allowed, including waterwings, snorkels, flippers and flutterboards. Lifejackets will be available for use.

The showers inside the changerooms are closed, and users will be expected to use the shower on the pool deck. Washrooms will be open.
