The victim, who was driving a pickup truck, rear-ended a five-ton service truck stopped at a redi light on the 271 Road. Evidence suggests the man tried to stop before the collision, police say.

However, the man later died in hospital from his injuries. The driver of the service truck was not injured.

Anyone with information is asked to call Peace Region Traffic Services at 250-787-8140, quoting file 2019-4871.
