The Hudson’s Hope Public Library has received $10,000 through Site C’s Generate Opportunities (GO) Fund.

The grant will fund year-round programming and services to community members of all ages, including tools for students up to age 18 to learn about science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics. A monthly book club program for adults will also be supported.

"Hudson’s Hope Public Library programs have always been a beacon to patrons within the community,” said Library Director Amber Norton.

It’s the second $10,000 grant the library has received through the GO fund. The first was given in 2018 to support free programs for children and young adults.

Norton said the funding will be a big help when provincial COVID-19 health restrictions lift and in person programs resume.
