BC Hydro says the Farrell Creek east road realignment on Highway 29 is now open.
The 3.5-kilometre-long section is located north of the previous stretch of highway. Construction on the realignment began in 2020, moving the road away from the top of the river bank to an area that will not be impacted by the Site C reservoir, BC Hydro said.
The segment of road still requires some additional work, including one more layer of asphalt and is expected to be completed next spring.
