The Hudson’s Hope arena is open for skating and team activities with COVID-19 precautions in place.

Access is on a first come first serve basis, and a max of 20 people will be allowed to use the ice at one time, with users having to sign in. Helmet and skate rentals are not available, and there are no change rooms or showers open. However, washrooms will be open.

Programs and rental group activities can only be scheduled for a max of 45 minutes, with a mandatory facility walk through prior to ice use.

Bleachers are closed during skate times for public and programs that don’t require registration.

No hockey games or scrimmages will be allowed, but individuals are allowed to practice ice hockey skills. Skating clubs must submit their plans with the district prior to use.

A 30-minute cleaning period is scheduled between each arena user group, while staff must sign off on cleaning logs every shift. In addition, one hour of cleaning is planned after each work day.

For spectators, only one parent per child will be allowed to enter the facility and access the arena stands, with a two metre seating rule.

Spitting will also not be tolerated, with anyone caught spitting asked to leave immediately.

The arena is open Tuesday through Saturday with varying skate times.

For more information on skate times and policy, call the arena at 250-783-5563.
