Hudson's Hope council chambers have been fitted with plexiglass screens between councillors.

Hudson’s Hope councillors will move their meetings back to the chambers starting Oct. 13.

“We’ve been trying to get the chambers in a COVID friendly environment,” said Mayor Dave Heiberg.

Meetings have been held at the community hall since March to due to COVID-19. Council chambers have been outfitted with plexiglass between seats, and the public gallery will be limited to just two people.

If there are more than two people wishing to attend, the meeting will be moved back to the community hall.

“We rarely get anybody in the audience, but if there’s a reason for it, we’ll definitely move over to the community hall where we’ve got more space," Heiberg said.

Anyone looking to attend must register in advance with the district office.
