The District of Hudson's Hope rescinded its boil water notice yesterday, July 20, after sample results revealed there was not a threat to the community water system.
Both the drinking water officer and medical health officer with Northern Health were consulted prior to the removal of the notice.
The boil water notice was originally issued July 9 after E. Coli was discovered in the water system, and residents were advised to boil their water before drinking.
On July 16, the District said there was no E. Coli found in the collected samples, but that the advisory would remain in place until the Northern Health gave the green light to lift it.
