Hudson's Hope police investigate attempted ATM break-in

Hudson’s Hope RCMP are looking for witnesses and dashcam footage after an attempted ATM break-in this week.

The mischief was reported Oct. 25 in a business on the 10000 block of Beattie Drive. RCMP say when staff arrived for work they noticed that someone appeared to attempt to break into the ATM causing damages to it.

RCMP say a review of security camera footage showed two unknown persons in the area wearing coveralls with reflective safety stripes at approximately 4 a.m. There is also evidence that a vehicle was parked on the lawn in front of the business.

The investigation is ongoing with support from the North District Forensic Identification Section, RCMP said.

Any witnesses who may have seen something suspicious in the area between 4 a.m. and 4:45 a.m., or anyone who was driving through and has a dashcam recording during this timeframe, is asked to contact RCMP at 250-783-5241 and cite file 2021-392.
