Northern Health is warning of a possible COVID-19 exposure at Hudson’s Hope school earlier this month.

The health authority says students and staff may have been exposed to to the virus from Oct. 26 to Nov. 4. It's the first school in the Peace River North district to be added to the health authority's

exposure list.

Superintendent Stephen Petrucci says it's not a case of transmission. Classes continue, said Petrucci, as exposure was limited, he said.

"A school exposure means that it's not a case of transmission at school," said Petrucci. "It's a case of someone in the school community having tested positive and having been in some kind of contact at school."

Northern Health will do contact tracing to identify any other people who may have been infected.

The school continues to follow its COVID-19 safety protocols, Petrucci said.
