For the first time in four weeks, positive water sample results were returned from tests done last Tuesday and Wednesday.
According to a post by the district, a Northern Health representative will visit the community's water treatment plant today.
While the facility has been fully operational since Sept. 10, it needs the approval of the health authority to remove the existing water bans.
Mayor Dave Heiberg has said the current measures are only a temporary solution and the district will need to find something permanent.
It's working with B.C. Hydro to find a path forward.
