Areas of Lynx Creek will soon be closed to boaters and the public as Highway 29 realignment construction ramps up, BC Hydro says.
The boat launch at Lynx Creek will be periodically closed from mid-February until March 31, 2020. The boat launch will be closed for clearing activities as part of the realignment work, with the timing determined by conditions as clearing progresses, BC Hydro said. The boat launch at Halfway River remains open.
Meanwhile, BC Hydro says Peace River side channels east of Lynx Creek are now permanently closed. The islands are being cleared and prepared for use as a gravel source during highway construction.
Motorists are reminded to drive with caution in the area.
