Hot weather and strong winds have fanned a wildfire at Williston Lake to 150 hectares this week, according to the BC Wildfire Service.

A hot and windy day has kicked up a wildfire on the north side of Williston Lake. A fire east of the Nabesche River started July 26 and was previously being held at 30 hectares.

Hudson’s Hope residents are being warned not to consume water from the local distribution system.
