Stacy Ray Laglace will remain in custody for another week awaiting a bail hearing.
The decision was made Thursday in a Fort St. John court as counsel needs more time to read new disclosure.
Laglace, 32, was arrested in Fort St. John on Sunday, June 28, during a shoplifting investigation at Walmart. He faces a long list of 21 charges, including aggravated assault, discharge a firearm with intent, kidnapping, and robbery.
Laglace appeared in Fort St. John court Tuesday morning by video for a scheduled bail hearing, however, that was moved to a later date. He remains in custody.
RCMP had been searching for Laglace since January. A second public alert about the police search was issued earlier this month.
