Two men from Dawson Creek have been charged with murdering a man on Nov. 5 at an apartment on the corner of 15 Street and 109 Avenue.
Wesley Lulu-Gladue's, 22, body was left in a large cardboard box in a dumpster outside the apartment. He had been stabbed numerous times.
Brothers Ryan Beaulieu, 26, and Clayton Beaulieu, 22, have been charged with second-degree murder and remain in police custody.
On Nov. 6 at 8 p.m., police received an anonymous tip saying a possible murder had taken place at an unknown location.
Police found evidence of a serious assault at the Sunridge Apartments that day.
The next day, after expanding their search to outside the apartment, they made the "horrific discovery" of the man's body in a cardboard box.
Police believe the murder is not gang related, and that there is no further risk to the community.
Lulu-Gladue had been living in Dawson Creek for several months before the crime.
The apartment's back parking lot was cordoned off with police tape on Nov. 7. Some cars were banned from leaving the parking lot, but most were allowed to go.
A second-storey suite was taped off and guarded by police. The stairwell next to the suite was also condoned off.
Dawson Creek RCMP are asking anyone with information about the crime to contact the detachment at 250-784-3700 or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477(TIPS)
