One new COVID-19 case reported in northern B.C.

Dr. Bonnie Henry reported Friday one new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the Northern Health region.

The total now sits at 12 throughout the region.

There are now 792 cases and 16 deaths in B.C. Seventy-three of those infected are in hospital; another 275 people have recovered. The rest are at home in self-isolation.

In the Alberta Peace, three new cases were reported Friday in the Peace River area, bringing the total to 30 in Alberta's northern health zone.

There are three cases in the Grande Prairie region.

There are four cases reported in Fort McMurray, five cases in the High Prairie region, and three cases in the Slave Lake area.
