Snowfall warning issued

A snowfall warning is in effect for the B.C. Peace region.

Environment Canada says a warm front ahead of an approaching Pacific low pressure system will bring snow to the Williston region and Pine Pass Thursday evening, then to the Peace region by midnight.

Total snowfall will range from 15 to 20 cm for the Williston region and Pine Pass, and 10 to 15 cm for the Peace. The snow is forecast to end Friday morning, except near noon Friday for the Peace, Environment Canada said.

The weather agency is forecasting a high of 3 on Thursday in Fort St. John and Dawson Creek, with temperatures steady around -1 on Friday.

The weekend forecast calls for a mix of sun and cloud, with temperatures expected to reach 10 on Sunday.
