Some hospital lab restrictions to be lifted

Northern Health says some restrictions on laboratory services will be lifted starting July 6.

The health authority says services will be returning to a “new normal", and that labs are ready to resume routine blood collection for any patient with orders from their doctor.

Patients with a requisition can contact their local lab to make an appointment or drop-in for service. 

"Procedures may differ throughout the region while we begin to lift restrictions," the health authority said. 

Due to new safety measures wait times may be longer than usual, it added.
