Officers are investigating several leads and reviewing video surveillances from area businesses, RCMP said.

They are also looking for a potential suspect and associated vehicle that fled north on the highway.

The suspect is described as a black male standing six feet tall. He was possibly driving a light-coloured SUV that may have been a Toyota RAV4.

Anyone who sees the suspect or suspect vehicle is urged not to approach and to call Whitehorse RCMP immediately at 867-667-5555. Any witnesses are also asked to call police.
